What we collect, and why.

The contact form

When you write to us, we receive your name, your email address, your message, and the time you sent it. We use them for one thing: replying to you. Nothing is added to a mailing list, and we don't share what you send with anyone outside the studio.

Messages are kept for as long as we need them to reply and keep a record of the conversation, then deleted. Only the studio owner can read them.

Visitor counts

We count visits so we know roughly how many people read this site and how they found it. For each page you view, the counter records the page, the site that linked to it, your region and city, and your type of device, browser and operating system. It also notes how far down the page you scroll, how long the page is on your screen, any link you follow to another site, and whether you start or send the contact form.

The counter sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. To count each person once a day, it combines your IP address and browser details with a secret that changes every day and keeps only the scrambled result. Your IP address itself is never stored, and once the day's secret is deleted, that result can't be traced back to you. The counter doesn't build a profile of you, and it runs on our own Cloudflare account.

Services that help run the site

The site and its contact form run on Cloudflare. To keep automated spam out, the form uses Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a request comes from a real browser. That check may process your IP address and some technical details about your browser. Your message is delivered to us by email. These services process data on servers that may be outside Canada and outside Quebec.

Your rights

To see the information we hold about you, or have it corrected or deleted, send a message through the contact form. Every request gets an answer. Sometimes the law lets us keep what we need — for example, a record of the conversation itself — and if so we'll say so.

If you're not satisfied with how we've handled your information, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada. Quebec residents can also contact the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec.

Who's responsible

The studio owner is responsible for the personal information this site collects. Questions about privacy go through the contact form.

This site isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we'll update this page and change the date below.
